Bottom dumps, also known as belly dumps, and railroad coal cars withstand some of the harshest environments imaginable. Valves in these applications withstand extremely high vibration, wide temperature ranges, elements of weather, dust, dirt, and a variety of caustic load materials.                                                                                                           

When Versa began back in 1949, air quality was a major issue. That is why we developed fully ported, high flow valves adapted to handle all the dust, dirt, and grime that may flow through the valve. While air quality has improved, our valves remain more useful than ever in dirty environments and in situations where dust, dirt, and grime come from outside the pneumatic circuit. However, even with Versa valves, it is vitally important to use dust exclusion technology in particularly harsh environments.

Pneumatic systems perform tasks that require energy in the form of pressure, which is stored in a compressor tank, accumulators, or pressure lines.  When maintaining, repairing, or replacing components, that portion of the system must be safely depressurized.

The rack and pinion actuator, controlled by a simple NAMUR valve, is popular and widely used to actuate quarter-turn ball and butterfly valves across a multitude of industrial and process control applications. Valve automation specialists apply this solution in food and beverage processing, pulp and paper, steel production, and oil and gas, just to name just a few applications.

The C9 NAMUR  valve is a ½” NPT ported NAMUR-configured valve designed to provide higher flow to larger rack and pinion actuators. This solenoid pilot operated valve is available as single or double solenoid 2-position or 3-position valve.
