Polar and other extreme temperature conditions can present significant challenges when it comes to ensuring reliable valve operation. The system must work safely and without interruption, even after extended periods of inactivity, which can be quite difficult when facing extreme low temperatures.

To address this issue, Versa enhanced its field proven series E4, C-316, and V-316 stainless steel valves and air preparation products to perform reliably in extreme low temperatures. Known as the Polar Service option, these valves are designed to exceed requirements for low-temperature applications by reliably operating at temperatures as low as -67oF (-55oC). Other features of the Polar Service option include the following:

Valves

  • Worldwide solenoid approvals including ATEX, CSA, INMETRO, IECEx, KC, NEPSI, PESO, and TR-CU
  • Power options as low as 0.5 watts
  • Direct acting solenoid and solenoid pilot options available
  • Constructed of 316L stainless steel
  • Flow rates from 0.8 Cv to 2.0 Cv
  • Offerings available from the Versa C-316, E4, and V-316 product lines
